Tynecastle hosts the historical team of Edinburgh, the hearts of midlothian (hmfc). With 18008 seats, this stadium is usually not sold out although recent good results made the tickets harder to get.The atmosphere is usually quite bad unfortunately but if you want to sing a few songs with the fans you've got two places to be:
The Main Stand , bloc N: this is the place where most of the casuals stand.Actually the best place to be to my point of view.
The Wheatfield Stand, bloc G: nothing special happens here but the atmosphere is slightly better than in other blocs.
How to find tickets?
Usually, the games are not sold out. You have to be careful though , as recent good results brought many new "fans" to Tynecastle and sold out games are now more and more frequent.

The fans :
The hearts fans are mainly protestants. Nothing special to say: atmosphere quite bad.
Theur main rival are the hibees (or hibernians), ie the fans from the other club of the city.A few casuals follow the hearts and are usually the only ones to sing regularly when they are not bothered by stewards or policemen asking them to sit down.
How to go to Tynecaslte
by train : Haymarket is around 10 minutes walk from Tynecastle
by bus: bus number 3 or 34 from Princes Street
Where to drink
Before the game: The 'Tynecastle arms' is a really nice pub. You have to arrive quite early if you want to get in as it's fully packed
After the game: At any time , any day you'll find a good place to have a drink. The most famous pubs are The three sister (Cowgate), l'espionnage (Cowgate) or you can you give a try at Cabaret Voltaire, Liquid Rooms or Finnegans'. You can also try a pub crawl as it's always a good fun in Edinburgh.
