Millwall FC is probably one the most famous lower division team in the world.
Indeed, despite the pretty bad level of their club, Millwall fans have always shown a good support in term of number. They're actually mainly famous because of the "excessive" support of some of them; their firm (the bushwackers) was one of the most active and provocate some of the most violent troubles of english hooliganism history. Among them, we can quote the riot of May 2002 when 47 policemen were injured.
However -let's talk bout the present-, if Millwall fans remain amongst the most violent of England, don't expect to see a very good atmosphere if you go to the Den.There should be around 10000 people, and you should hear a few songs but nothing really loud. The main interest in going to the Den is to feel the special atmoshpere of this area and imagine what happened around there (althouth the Den was not initially built here but a few blocks further south).
