Easter Road- Hibernian

  • Easter Road
  • Capacity: 17,500 places
  • Adress: 12 Albion Place, Edinburgh, EH7 5QG
  • Inaugurated: 1893
  • Club: Hibernian

Easter Road is a 17500 seats stadium located in Edinburgh. The atmosphere is average slighty above the average compared to the scottish stadiums. I've been told this stadium is also called "the leith San Siro". Having been a few times in San Siro and in Easter Road, I honnestly wonder why.

How to get a ticket for a game?

You should find a ticket easily for most of the game. You can try the ticket office or on the internet.here

Some games such as games against the hearts of midlothian, the rangers or the celtics might be sold out.

How to go to the Easter Road

  • By bus: just get the bus: Line 1, 4, 15, 26 & 44 (Lothian) or line 66, 106, 113, 124, 129 & X5 (First Bus) from Princes Street

    The fans:

The atmosphere is nearly the same as any other scottish stadiums.Slightly above the average actually. The are a few casuals in Edinburgh gathered under the name of CCS (capital City Service)

    Songs:

My heart was broken, my heart was broken
    Sorrow sorrow sorrow sorrow
My heart was broken, my heart was broken
You saw it, you claimed it
You touched it, you saved it
My tears are drying, my tears are drying
Thank you thank you thank you thank you
My tears are drying, my tears are drying
    Your beauty and kindness
    Made tears clear my blindness
While Im worth my room on this earth
    I will be with you
While the chief, puts sunshine on leith
I ll thank him for his work
And your birth and my birth.

    ------------------

    Where to drink

  • Before the game: The 'Middletons' is a really nice pub. You have to arrive quite early if you want to get in as it's fully packed

The most famous pubs are The three sister (Cowgate), l'espionnage (Cowgate) or you can you give a try at Cabaret Voltaire, Liquid Rooms or Finnegans'. You can also try a pub crawl as it's always a good fun in Edinburgh.
