Most of people say England is definitively the place to be if your life is all about football."Their fans are the best and the atmosphere you'll see during a football game is something unique". This is what I was thinking when I went to my first english football game ever. Unfortunately I realised that it wasn't the case.Indeed, I only watched three games but it was always the same atmosphere.Mainly silence. of course sometimes, the whole stadium was singing and that was very impressive but it only happened 2 or 3 times during the game.Maybe I was unlucky, that's why I asked people around me what was wrong and I got a few answers.Hooliganism was an actual problem in England. Lots of violent fights occured. The football and the authorities had a good pretext to rise the prices of the tickets and to create new laws -preventing fans from standing while watching a football game. As a consequence, most of the fans are actually not going to the stadium as watching the game on tv is far more affordable. I would advise you to do the same. You'll get a better atmosphere in a pub and it's far cheaper.
